It is amazing how fish get along when they have space. I've learned that cichlids aren't so much aggressive as they are territorial in most cases. These are shots from my 375 gallon aquarium and 1200 gallon indoor pond.

Agree with this, I find cichlids that when kept in a 150 gal tank will kill all other tank mates (my beanii for example) were totally benign in my 1500 gal
pond.

In most aggression cases, its all about tank size.

Love that Beani. It's on my list to add one day.
 
Your Texas cichlid is very photogenic. I love seeing these guy in the local creeks around my place.

Yeah, this is the first docile one I've ever kept.
