Hello All,

I'm looking for recommendations on plumbing this 375 gallon. It already has 3 1" holes all on the left side of a large overflow. This will be a freshwater tank housing 3 ocellate river stingrays and an Arowana if I can find a home for my African Cichlids. I was going to get the Eshopps 2-300 gallon wet/dry filter and an FX6, but I'd rather here everyone's recommendations. There are two holes in the over flow, I only uploaded a picture of one from the front side.

Thanks

Take some better pictures of the overflow you should have a full siphon drain the shortest pipe that gets tuned down with a gate valve, and a secondary drain that take the remainder of flow. I can’t tell what’s going on with the left pipe that goes through the bulkhead but it doesn't look normal to me. The middle pipe is for your return pump.

I'd seal off the hole pointing into the tank in front panel of the overflow box. then use the 3 holes in the bottom for a bean animal style siphon drain. I'd plumb the return line on the far end of the tank pointing to the skimmer box.

Sacramento as in cali? I thought rays where banned in cali?

I it looks like the three pipes are all being used as drains, I would rework them like B BichirKing recommended into a bean animal. I don’t like the way the returns are setup, as the way it looks now is on power failure they will flood your sump. I would like he said plug them and them and rework them as well.

I'm having some problems at home and need a reliable plumber who would definitely do the job right. Does anyone know one?
