Man have the 3 bar Indo prices jump to old ST prices or what lol. I go to local fish stores and find them cheap like every other Indo but on here I see people shooting for the stars. If this is going to be a new trend I'm going to start hand picking out all 3 bars to hoard to sell in the future for the big bucks lol. I just wonder if it's noobs buying them thinking there STs not knowing. So how many people still seeing normal prices else where?

I think everyone who is selling them here know exactly what they are.I rarely see any 3/3 indos for sale around here, its like the suppliers pick them out before turning over their batches knowing the shopkeepers in certain areas don't really have preference as to which indos they recieve.

Big market for 3 bar Indo's over this side of the planet with big players from China, Japan, Korea and SEA countries. Prices have soared and breeders/fishermen are now diligently grading them from fries (3 bar clean/unclean, 4 bars, odd bars etc). 3 bars easily fetch 5-10x more than 4 bars. If the 3 bars are thick and clean then double or triple that for 2-4 inch specimens.

At the risk of stating the obvious I think the indo price hike is due to the more desired ST becomming harder to come by due it's rarity and skyrocketing pricetag. Most people who are not willing to drop the equivalent of a car down payment on a pulcher won't seem to mind paying a little extra for an imposter indo.

Exactly :)

Yeah I get that since STs are big money now that the 3bars are becoming the next grab up but still I see 3bars still being sold as regular Indos for normal price at mom and pop shops. Only place I seen them high is on here. I was just at acouple stores that had some Ranging from $30-60. I know the west coast guys are still coming across them cheap as well. If they are going for more here why not the Lfs then? Whole salers would ask for more money if they are going up but instead they are sold as regular Indos around me. No one else has notice this?

I guess people on here are more aware of the whole ST lookalike aspect and set their prices according to what they think they can get out of those who want a ST but aren't willing to pay the high price.I have noticed that some vendors have priced their three bars higher too.

I paid regularly LFS price for my 4 bar. It seems people are just bs-ing about their prices these days. I don't know much but some of these prices are ridiculous.
