im currently building my 3d aquarium background using cut styrofoam to form rock look then glued to a board with sylicone and then final step cement cover and curing.
anyone else do this so i can see the look you made i just cant make the styrofoam look how i want.
any pics?

here you go:

you can use a small torch or a big lighter to burn down the edges of the styrofoam to get a rounder natural look.

i carved out the tyrofoam with a dremel and knife and made ranndom shapes.
all wood is cut out and measured to line the back wall of the tank including sides (not shown).

Why did you use plywood? Why not just use another piece of foam as the backing? I would be concerned about moisture infiltrating the plywood over time and breaking it down and leaching the plywood glue into your water.
