3D tree roots

Wanted to try out this 3D stuff... Making some roots to cover a corner overflow on my 250. First layer of concrete; no colors yet.. Going to have some roots exposed across the tank also...

That is the same thing that i want to do. I would also like to know how you are making it. Does anybody know if this can be done with a foam?

I built it starting with pink styro from home depot. Cut and hot-glued larger pieces to get the shape. I then used pond spray foam to build out more and a razor to carve the details. Using rapid set cement to cover. Its very time consuming but pretty fun.

12 bucks a can. I used 2. Dont try to skimp; this foam owns! I tried great stuff (gaps/cracks) and while it does work.... Its nothing like the expensive stuff.
