3D TV's

Just saw it on the news. They said by 2013 they will be coming out with 3D TV's. They are already using 3D cameras for some of the movies and 1 of them is going to be "Avatar" which is the next blockbuster movie this coming Christmas. They also said that it's going to start off with sports. Can you imagine watching basketball or football in 3D?

I didn't check out the company, but the idea behind 3d tv's is pretty awesome. It's the same technology they are using to invent cloaking devices. If they can get a material with negative refraction (harder than it sounds), then they can bend light waves. If they can use this material in fiber optic cables, then they can use it to bend the output of the light making 3d tv's. In theory, simple. In practice, I doubt it will be out by 2013.
