Back in the hunt. T or S grade black sand or equivalent. Must be ray safe. Tried bare bottom but I'm not feeling it.

Try looking for Estes Medium Broadcast. Comparable to 3M S grade.

Locally I can find a 50 lb bag of Estes Medium Broadcast for $24.00.

Look for it at wholesale or large paint supply stores.

tropical aquariums in rockville has ordered the black tahitian moon sand for me before.. not very expensive at all for the big bags and it saves you on the shipping if you order online

Thanks for the quick replies! I'll check into each.

I'll be at aquafest so the the T-grade at that price is definitely awesome! Thanks Mike!

I was thinking of tahitian but with all the mixed thoughts/reviews about ray compatibility I'd rather be safe than sorry. Thanks though!

Find out RAM's website. The person above was right, it was RAM not metro sealant that has it now. But I dont remember their website or what RAM stands for to find the website. Maybe you will have better luck.
