3M sand

For those that have the 3M sand in your tank, how long have you had it? I just received mine today and was reading the "ingredients" listed on the bag. Wondering if anything would leach out of the sand.

I bought the brown colored S grade. Put some in a small container and rinsed, it looks really good.

i have had it for over a year... no ill effects

i have used 3m s grade for about 1-1/2 years, i also have 3m t grade and been using it for about a month or 2.

Love it only way to go...

i bought some tan, and its looking good. make sure you wash it throughly. i washed it around 5 times while it was in a bucket. nothing leached out in my tank had it for over 4months now

Put some of the sand in last night. What do you think? I think it looks good.

I think the lighting makes it look a little orange. I should get some pics during the day with natural light, before the tank lights come on.

Tank bottom is not painted. It's actually the tan colored paper stuck to the acylic sheets from the manufacturer. The tank sits on a sheet of styrofoam insulation, that is light blue...

i live in canada and cant find 3m sand where did u buy it from
