Last night our final pregnant female gave birth. This time there was only 1 pup (male). We've had two other litters this week (12 pups and 7 pups, see other threads for pics).
This is the mother's 3rd litter. Her first litter was 3 pups and the second litter was 6 pups. The mother is only 2.5 years old. The pup is healthy and in with the other 19 pups born this week.
The three females that just gave birth are not going to be bred for a few months. We're giving them time to rest as they've each had 3 litters in a row. The males have been moved to a seperate system along with another mature female who has only had one litter. Hopefully she will provide some more pups in a couple months.
All the pups will be for sale. They are already starting to try cut up nightcrawlers (along with their blackworms), so they will be for sale soon (probably around 2-14-08). Price is $125.00 per pup. Shipping is available for $85.00 per box, airport to airport, to legal states (2 pups can go in a single box). Pickup is welcome (we are in Troy, Michigan). Cash or credit is acceptable.
