Just bought a blood parrot, rainbow, angle fish and yoyo loach for $25. The lady had them in a 30 gallon tank and the hob filter had crapped out on her. She had somebody who wanted the tank but did not want the fish. She stated that she had them for about 7 years. The rainbow and yoyo loach went in my community tank. Tried to put the angel in there as well but my angel would not leave him alone and kept attacking him so we took him out of the community tank and moved him in the parrot and they are now in with my albino RTC and the 2 columbians. Any idea why the angel kept attacking??:headbang2

Your columbians need brackish and can go to full saltwater when they reach adulthood.

Yes I know that the columbians need brackish but my understanding is that they will be fine until they are about 4 years old. At that time I should be able to start converting them to brackish water. My LFS has a couple here in a freshwater tank and they are at least 5 years old he says. I know they are pretty big compared to mine right now.

What size is your community tank? You other Angle is being territorial to the new edition. How big is the angle and parrot compared to the RTC? I have seen to many people on here putting smaller fish in with RTCs to only have them eaten. Even if the RTC seems to small to eat the fish. I would just be careful.

Anchor the RTC is my albino and he is only about 4 inches long. The parrot is about 6 inches long and is bigger all around than anchor. The angel is also bigger than anchor and come summer I will be putting anchor in a bigger tank with the columbians bruce and chum.

I was reading that the yoyo loach is a schooling fish but as I said I got him with the other 3 fish and they had him like that by himself with no other loaches. Will look at getting him some other loaches but right now he is schooling with george my 10 inch pleco that we rescued from my nephews 10 gallon tank.

When you get one angel they are aggressive, when they are in pairs, one usually picks on another and when they are in groups they are fine. Great deal.

Thanks for the info about the angels, looks like I will have to get at least one more and let him grow a little before I put all 3 together then. I was happy to get the fish as it was more like a rescue. The filter had quit on the lady and by the time I had contacted her she had a buyer for the tank but they did not want the fish. They angel looked ragged but is settled with my columbians and rtc right now. So now I have to look for some bigger tanks or start buiding one for the columbians and a seperate one for the rtc as well as plan on picking up some angels and a couple of yoyo loaches.:nilly:
