So, I'm taken a 4 hour trip down to miami and plan on bringing back some fish, hopefully.

I coppied this fish trasporter thttp://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65275

But i'm using a much larger tub, and we have 4 air bublers hooked up instead of 2. We are gona have a good amount of fish in the tub also. So my question is do you think the fish will be fine for the 4 hours? Is there anything I should add the the water to ensure they survive?

I can either use the 4 air pumps, or I can get an adaptor for my car so I can run a super luft air pump with 2 5" round air stone ( flat circle ones )

Make sure you use a heater. I made a 9 hr trip with 1 airstone and one heater in a cooler.

yeah im gonna make a long trip from fl to ri...and i have an awesome setup..im a use

Well, when we go ( end of may or june ) Its gona be hot as hell. Is a heater still needed even if its hot out? ( wont the heater burn threw the plastic tub ?)

I'll do the airstones + heater instead of the air pump if thats the case.

Hah, I'm maken a trip from fl to nc than to boston ( 2 weeks in nc first ). Should be fun, exsept the 20+ hours to boston sucks :( I've driven it about 4 times

Then I say no, but keep in mind your AC will lower the air temp. For 4 hours with temps high, I think you are fine.

i would bring one just in case....and just monitor the temp

You should be fine with no heater. I moved 2 8" piraya, one 8" Caribe, and one 8" red in a small cooler with just some biowheels floating for 3 hours and they where fine.

My real test is coming up. Im bringing back two 6" D. Pulchers from P'cola, FL to Louisville, KY. in a couple weeks. Im not sure what my plan of action is yet as it is a 12-13hour drive!

At the end of the summer Im hoping to visit my wifes mom in Miami and bring back some wild caught fish from there.....oh and did I mention Im not into cichlids? ;)

fish are fine in bags for that long I do weekly trips and they are in a bag for 9 hours and I get 30 fish each trip and they are always fine, keep the temp right and you are good to go.
