Hey all,

I have a 5" 4-Line Pim in a 125g with a few SA/Ca cichs and a couple of poly's and bristlenoses. They used to be housed in a little 30g, where I had no problems. Since moving to the big tank, the Pim has devolped a real problem with my albino poly.....harassing it, chasing it accross the tank, biting it (or mouthing it I guess!). I have no idea why this is.....

has anyone had any similar experiances?? is this going to cause any bigger problems...?? The Pim doesnt touch the bigger senegal i have (8")....I guess he is too big to bully....

THe only problems i have with my pair of blochii, is that they often fight for the same spot, but neither has ever gone after either of my bichir eels. I know my giraffe cat hates my large female bichir, but no problems with the blochii, sorry to hear

I had a 10 inch 4 lined pim in my 125. I got rid of him because he ruled the bottom of the tank.

the only i ever had was mean. beat up and killed a 7" aro (it was 4") and when the aro was about lifeless, it started picking on my lima that was about 9-10". too spastic for me.

amazing.....when I did my research before buying one, all i heard was that they would eat your tetras....but I never was going to be keeping it with tetras so I wasn't worried....!!

Mine hasn't eaten any fish before, only fight it got into was with my 9" sun cat who is a lot more massive then the 4line. I'm even thinking about adding a group of them to my new tank this summer.

I have one in my 150 gallon, never really had a problem with him, he has a favorite hiding spot though and when one of the other fish try to share it with him he usually kicks them out. He was the domonate bottom fish in my tank for a while, till I got my channel cat, the channel cat and the 4 line pim had a test of power at fist, but the channel cat quickly put him in his place and now he is very submissive.

I had one that was also pretty aggressive, taking control of most of the tank bottom, and eating some mid-size cichlids as well

mines does this when hungery it acts like it wan'ts to eat my polys fins never does any damage but it makes my poly mad if its a problem feed the cat more

i have mine with a sun cat which is more aggressive the 4 line is much bigger but the sun cat flares at it and tried to bite it it even pushes smaller cichlids out my jaguar cichlid how ever still ruels the tank

oh all most forgot my 4 line is more of a dither fish it has scares all over it from cichlids biteing it poor thing it fine just doesn't look as good which is a real bummer
