Hey guys I have a 4 line pim( probably 3.5") in one of my tanks right now, currently it's just him and a bn pleco. As you could see it's not very fun to watch, what would you recommend to put with him? I was thinking Corys because I've never owned them and they're a cool little species and from what I know they're active!
-thanks!

I'd say no to corries too small 4line gets 8" and will probably eat them. you can put them with almost any cichlid. Its one of the only tank mates I've actually kept and has been through all of my changes. Red devils fire mouths 2 separate festaes both were killers and have killed in the same tank as the pim and the pim was aggressive towards them. Black belts Oscars bichirs (currently) bgk but they fight occasionally. Also recently put in a 1.5" Red ceibal and the pim is about 7" and didn't eat him :p. But they will hold their own against aggressors and fish taking their spot

My fish life is sparked up with Polys :)

4-lines go well with a bunch of their own as well as other closely related cats from the same genus - Pimelodus. If your 4-line is (by definition) Pimelodus tetramerus, then blochii, ornatus, pictus, etc. can be suggested and, or course, more tetramerus. They are much more lively and fun in a group and their antiques are found delightful by vast majority.

The genus: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/genus.php?genus_id=101 - other than the ones I named, you will have hard times finding others, even ornatus is rather rare. The others I named are common, at least all along the East Coast USA.

The more of them you have, the more fun you will observe.
