4" pleco with 9" CK=Fishfood?

I was wondering if I could put my 4 inch common pleco in with my 9 inch CK, and NOT have the pleco become a snack?

My fiance doesn't like his pleco being in with my piranha, and I can't move the pleco in with the golds, since I have a jellybean cichlid in there, and I heard somewhere that jellybeans are a yummy snack for plecos.

I know CKs have a big mouth and a hungry hungry hippo personality. But I'm making sure that my fiance's favorite fishy won't get "eetid"

a plec would be fine a CK. it would also be fine w/ the cichlid.
 
Lost my first ck (around 10") when he tried to eat a pleco that was just small enough to fit in his mouth/large enough to get stuck and choke him to death. beware!
 
my clown knife was in w/ 2 plecos and it worked fine. the knife was around a foot and the smaller plec was 4-5 inches. he never bothered w/ him. i guess every fish is different.

I don't know if this changes the situation much, but I measure the CK last night, and he's 10.5-11 inches. The first time I measured him, all stretched out, he was a good 11. the second time I measured him (just to make sure I got it right) he was 10 and a half!! lol
 
i am 90% sure it will be fine. just keep that knife fed. get him on shrimp or fresh fish and you'll be fine. mine never even looked at my pleco.

i think he is much worse off living w/ a piranha than w/ the CK.
 
Right now he's in with the goldfish. Brian didn't like the risk involved with putting Lucky in with the CK until he gets another inch or 2 on him. I'm picking up fresh fish meat this week. Would tilapia be OK for Loki and Whip?

tilapia would be great. for some reason all of my fish tend to favor fresh shrimp over fish. my large rhom loves whole smelt and most anything else.

We'll definately try the fresh shrimp too, if for some reason the fish don't like it, I know the crabs will!! lol

I wasn't a fan of the catfish meat, it seemed a little greasy, even though it was fresh meat. Brian ate what I wouldn't give to the fish, and I just ran out of the rest of it.

(btw *points to piranha board* I posted those pics of Whip for ya!!)
