i want my fish back. at one time i sold a buddy of mine that i run into once in awile my 125 gallon with 22 inch arrow/gar/large african frog/2 dorados/shovelnose and a pike. i ran into him and we got to talking about the tank and i asked him if he ever upgraded to a larger tank. his response, no ive only done about 4 water changes in the last year or so frog died. i told him i want the arrow and dorados back cause there 2 big for that tank. said he didnt know and was selling everything for 650.00. i said i would give him 100.00 for the 3 fish and then he could sell the rest for 550.00 . said maybe we could talk about it sometime later. :irked: :irked: btw the arrow is around 26 inches now. tank is 18 inches wide.

Wow, not a terrible price for all that. I bet the fish aren't too healthy though with a tank that small and that few # of water changes.

Hope you get those back.

4 Water change in a year... are the fish being fed once in two weeks are what... almost can't believe it unless his filter is super loaded... or the fish is just on the last hair before the owner realizes and does a water change.;) i feel bad for the fish.. the most i can stand is 1 water change a month.:) with the load of fish... i would feel sorry for them. although some LFS has told me they never change water only adding water. it might be true though. but still risky.. if your fish is cheap like penny and dime yeah why not.. but if your fish is expensive i won't even think of risking it.:irked: that's my opinion.:)

LFS are constanty removing water when they sell fish, which could be the reason why they do not do true water changes. We do water changes 5 days a week!

I do admit at one point I had an Asian Bumblebee Catfish in a 20g by itself. I was running an Emperor 400 on it. I only did 2 waterchanges in one year. :headshake I know...
