Watchn JP's you-tube vid of his 2 rhoms gave me what I think is a awesome idea. (they look like they wanna spawn to me) split my 8'x4' tank into 4-4'x2' tanks with the common corner in the center of the tank.with the right fish n conditions sooner or later I think a couple are gonna show the signs! And with a few on the sidelines 2 pairs might even be found n could make the tank into 2-8'x4'as hormones from one pair could trigger a 2nd pair to spawn(I swear I've seen this in my rbp)also. What's everyones thoughts on this? Anyone wanna grow out a rhom for 2years for the cause? Duster get a tank ready gonna have a rhom or two coming your way soon!or get your truck running n come get a 135gal n a fish too!

Personally I think you're insane but you seem convinced you know the mating signs better then your average keeper and have the time and money to blow trying to experiment with it

Oh there's no doubt bout me being crazy.as for breeding signs idk maybe so.I think I just look at the behavior different than most keepers.as for JP as possible pair, who knows, we'll never know.they might of killed other.I just throwing my thoughts on seeing the short clips.they weren't my fish so that's all I've seen of them.all piranhas pretty much spawn the same, some more aggressive than others.nothings a given even a mated pair can lead to tragedy. For instances my male oscar flipped out last night n killed his mate n a 14" pleco. They had been working a slate last 2 days, keeping pleco cornered at other end of the tank.this was going to be the last time I spawned them as the 1st time got very physical n aggression was high.sad sad day!
It has been done at least 3 off top of my head. Shedd aquarium, casnio in Vegas, n a aquarium in Germany, for rhoms. Caribe, Macs.spilo, n terns and geryi have all been bred by hobbists either here or other forums.many predator fish spawn similar. It could be used for caribe, or maybe piyara, maybe 4-6 in each section. Or less with piyara.

Maybe even have rbp spawn in one of the tanks as hormones are believed to trigger other fish to spawn also.
