40 breeder ideas

Hey guys!

Recently came into a 40 breeder. Not the prettiest tank as it's seen better days but a tank nonetheless.

I really have no idea at all what I should stock it with!

Any ideas? I'm open to anything. Salt, fresh, and everything inbetween!

Nice find! Depends on what you have right now, what you want to try... 40 breeder is a good size. Or it would make a great sump for one of your bigger tanks if it isn't pretty enough for a display

Oooh. I really like that last idea actually. I've been itching to build around a 200 gallon plywood tank for some rays as they grow out a bit. Maybe I'll use it for the sump!

I built my sump out of a sterlite tub. A wet/dry system containing 300 bioballs. Works great.

It's a tank don't waste it, I think there's a lot of nice fish like Sajica cichlids are an awesome fit

Oh wow, Sajicas are gorgeous fish. I've never been huge into Cichlids but some of the South American species are gorgeous. I could give em a go for sure.

I'd like them too but never see em. If not fish shrimp are really worth going into! They pay for themselves (and other fish) within a few months
