40 cm 6 Gallon tank

Hi I know its not the biggest but i got a 6 Gallon to go in my office to have some fish in there.
its a 40cm long tank i have got a hang on the back for it.

i was just wondering if there is any pair of fish that would be fine in a tank that size, maybe a dwarf pair of cichlids. if not please let me know if any thing else would be ok in there?

I would think a solo betta or a colony of dwarf shrimp.
Pygmy sunfish could work, but as I discovered they can be hard to feed.

maybe a couple dwarf gouramis. Personally I'd do a crawfish or "freshwater lobster." They're pretty active and fun to watch.

Some of the smaller Killifish would be my choice.

In a 6 gallon maybe only 1 dwarf gourami. Or just a handful of cardinal tetras

There are many killifish that can happily live out their lives in that size tank. You can even set up a breeding pair. A pair of Aphyosemion australe orange strain would be nice.
