Hello all:

:help2:

So I have a 40 Gal Breeder free at the moment and I don't know what to put in it. Looking for new tank ideas different than what I have now. PLEASE give me some ideas about what you'd put in this tank.

I have the folowing now:

55 gal (mixed african cichlids, 1 large common pleco)
20 gal (grow out tank for baby african cichlids)
37 gal (2 blood parrots, 1 large angel, 3 bala sharks, 1 leopard pleco)
40 gal (Coldwater tank- Mixed goldfish and minnows)
40 gal (EMPTY AND LOOKING FOR IDEAS!) :grinno:

Let me know what you think (maybe some SA cichlid??)

i'd move the angel into it and get one or two more. maybe put in a small shoal of clown loaches with them and plant it up

I would go for either:

A planted tank with some Apistogramma dwarf cichlids, a shoal or cardinal or rummynose tetras and some Corydoras catfish

A Tanganyikan style setup with Julidochromis, Cyprichromis, Neolamprologus and maybe some smaller Synodontis catfish

i got one for my wife
she is choosing to stock it with cherax destructors. they are large crayfish. nice blue color. hopefully breeding pair!!!

I would say go North American unheated with pumpkinseeds or maybe a small bass of some sort.

I've been wanting to get a nice school of exodons recently. Also, how bout some peacock eels and an african butterfly fish?

I like his idea :D

Maybe you could try some kind of planted tank with some inverts?
