Somewhere
so I have had my predator tank set up for over a year now. All started with a single snowflake eel that I kept in my high school marine bio class.... Then once I was out on my own I just had to have one again so set up the tank... well the first one jumped shipped and was found under the fridge -.-
Learning the hard way from my mistakes I eel proofed the tanks and finally had my snowflake again! A nice animal darker than most others. Not long after we had another snowflake come into the store that was MUCH lighter than most others.... so of course... I had to have it for the contrast....
However that is not what I am posting about today! (mostly cause I can't get any decent pics of my eels)
My newest addition that I have been waiting for... for some time now... finally came home with me last week!
Behold! The absolutely stunning....
Fu-manchu lionfish!

This tank is also home to a spotted hawk fish and a new (and small) colony of dragon eye zoas.

He'll eat live prey like a beast. No interest in anything frozen yet... But he will eat live ghost shrimp and guppies off tongs so that's a start at least... My eels where both terrified of the tongs at first but now I have them both coming out of their hiding places to rip shrimp/krill/fish etc. off the tongs. By far the most entertaining fish ever :)

working on it! for some reason I just cannot get pics of my eels =/ even when they are holding still they blur the camera -.-

Start looking for a bigger tank. One snowflake needs a 55g-75g tank. So you will need at least a 75g tank. I would also be worried about the eels eating the fu once the put on some size.
