I personally would breed a Thorichthys ellioti with an Amphilophus alfari. A. alfari can have a differential anterior-posterior coloration, and I think it'd be awesome to mix with a T. ellioti's dorsal-ventral differential coloration.
Plus the sprangles! With both combined, would look stunning.
Of course it can't be guaranteed that all the traits listed will come out, but hey, who knows.
Probably one male T. ellioti and 3 female A. alfaris since Alfaris are apparently more aggressive than Elliotis.
