I am getting opinions on breeding Lamp Tret's (5 bar) or Lamp Kendalli's in my 40 Gallon Breeder tank. I just got it and would like to breed either of these fish (obviously not both in the same tank). Never bred anything before although I've had mixed Tang tanks for years. Feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

I have never Bred the kendalli but the tret's I had a hard time keeping them in a small tank, the only time I had good success with them was in a 135 gallon community tank, but I have seen others breed them in a 20 gallon tank, my suggestion buy them when they are young, start out at least 4-6 fish and lots of rock work so that the banished fish can hide, and the female can seek shelter when the male becomes aggressive. good luck
