40 gallon petsmart deal-20% off

i was just there for no reason other than "to go"since my son wanted to see fish(he's 2yrs old).They have a 20% off all aquariums deal going on and im tempted.so they got 55 gal tank with hoods and lights for $95 and a 40gal tank for $103 with hoods and lights.Id rather have the breeder but what is the vote all in all?everyone else think its a good deal?and which one would you want to get or is it worth getting?The 55 or 40.
I am leaning towards the 40 gallon but is $103 a good deal?

Depends, the 40 is wider right? Whatever your stock may be, figure whether they would need more width or length. I think both are decent deals.

yeah the 40 is rouhly 20"wide-i like it alot.........but then i think i can get 15 more gallons for less money so im confused

True. And If you dont mind used, you could probably get a 40 breeder cheaper off someone. Its up to you, if you like wider then go for it.

id go for the 40 simply because its wider and you can aquascape it better. 55s are so thin when you think about it

I love breeder tanks, looks so comfortable for the fish to have such a nice fat footprint instead of the back and forth "hallway" look of 55's

yup-and i think the 40 with the hoods and light for 103 is pretty good.
