40 on bottom of 75

Is it possible to put a 40 gallon tank on the bottom of this 75 gallon stand.If so what single american cichlid should i put in there.

o yea on the bottom of the tank shelf surface is a sheet of plexi glass.

if the bottom shelf is plexiglass..then no...it would never be able to hold the weight of the 40gal

I agree, plexiglass will not sustain the weight of a 40g. You are looking at over 300 lbs in 40 gallons of water. Is there something else you can use to support the tank?

noooooooo..........the bottom of the tank is wood but there is plexi glass over that bottom of the stand.

That stand doesn't look like it will have enough support to hold up another tank. Only 4 legs if my eyes are correct.

I still wouldn't risk it. The wood under that stand isn't meant to bear weight, it is only for support of the stand.
