I need ideas on what to do with a 400 gallon tank. It is a shallow tank, only about 2 feet tall. I would love to do brackish, and put a bunch of Monos in there, but I think the tank is a bit too shallow for them. I also like the idea of ID sharks and/or Arowana. I also just stumble across flame pike cichlids and really loving the color on those, or I might just do a TON of angelfish in there. I want to do live plants in the tank, likely some Anubias tied to driftwood, and maybe a bunch of crypt sp. So I don't really want anything that will demolish live plants. No stingrays or peacock bass (that's what was in it before, I'm looking for something different). Any ideas?

Discus and angels together makes me nervous. This is actually a display tank for the lfs I work at. My first idea was doing just discus, but I don't think my boss with spring for 3k + in discus :)

Then a bunch of angels and maybe some sevs and tetras

caribe piranha tank would allow a good sized shoal in a 400 allow they may snip the plants when nesting.

If you are looking more towards a community tank i would say angels would be cool! Maybe a HUGE school of congo tetras and some rainbow fish.

Grow out a few armatus. Hands down the best for a lfs show tank. Your customers jaws will drop when they see the teeth
