Hi, I plan to keep only cichlids in the tank(320x60x80cm).
2x Vieja Maculicauda
2x Vieja Synspilum
2x Parachromis Dovii
2x Parachromis Managuensis
2x Amphilophus Labiatus
2x Hoplarchus Psittacus
2x Astronotus ocellatus
2x Cichlasoma festae
2x Tilapia Buttikoferi
Do you think these fish could live together? Or would you recommend omitting some? I'm not planning any other fish in this tank yet. Maybe in the future Polypterus bichir, when my smaller aquarium grows. Alternatively, RTC when will be the other fish fully grown, but this is a question for at least 2 years but I don't know if the aquarium is not too small for him

Tbh even in a aquarium twice that size those fish will not live together. For example the adult male Dovii patrol a large area for territory in a lake and will kill if any fish that enters. Your stock list consist of some highly aggressive territorial species.

And my vieja maculicauda is quite aggressive with all his tankmates and he's only about 5". I'd imagine very soon he will be going on his own.

Do you think that if I left out Dovi, Red Devil and possibly Maculicauda (which I would like to buy, but the fish is practically unobtainable from us), it would work? The only fish I own so far are H. psittacus and cuzt they are myown breeding

These fish will be fine together in the same room, as long as they are spread out over a dozen or so tanks...but in one single aquarium? Wow.

You have picked some seriously aggressive fish, none of which are small, and virtually all of them will want to claim all or most of that tank for their own personal use. I have no experience with parrots or synspila but have had all the others at some point over the years, and I wouldn't dream of trying this community. People once spoke of the aggressiveness of Oscars, but in this tank the Oscars would practically be dither fish. Any one of them has a strong potential for just "snapping" one day and going on a killing spree. If any of them live long enough to mature and pair up, things will get even worse for the other survivors.

And, please, you are already hoping for 18 large aggressive fish together in a small space...don't even talk about throwing in a RTC that should have at least that much room all by itself...

So how would you recommend combining fish?
2x Parrot
2x Synspila
2x Maculicauda (or Tilapia)
2x Festae
2x Jaguar
Will be this Ok?
In terms of space, how many liters would you recommend for one pair of cichlids? I have often read that 80 liters of water is enough for one pair. I myself have experience with breeding and regular breeding of 3(parrots, golden jags, normal jags) pairs of full grown large cichlids(males are 35cm+, normal jaguar is 40+cm) in one "small" aquarium (125x55x55)

I would give the 400 to the jag pair. Anything else will eventually become competition or get its butt kicked.

If you wanna have multiple pairs of large aggressive cichlids, I would think about setting up several smaller tanks of the 180-240g range. The 400 would be a great home for a mature pair of any of those cichlids though.

The only pairs I would think you could get away with together is maybe the parrots and Oscars...maybe divide the tank with rocks or logs to give them their own territories.

I misunderstood...you dont have the jags, but the parrots. I would focus on them for the big tank. An adult breeding pair of true parrots are really gorgeous fish, but they won't reach their full potential with violent, large tankmates like CA cichlids. Like I said the Oscars could probably cohabitate peacefully, but you'd be better off with some other peaceful tankmates that won't bully the parrots for territory or food.
