My dream tank is a 400 gallon tank!! The fish I want are a female festae, black nasty, cuban, buttikofferi, p. Bleekeri, 2 flordia gars Rtm, 4 clown loaches, 2 sailfin plecos and a common pleco. What do you guys think? What would your dream tank be.?????

Obviously depends on the personality of each fish, the only one I could see having a problem with is the Haitensis. They tend to bloat when they have competition that they cannot dominate. As well as stay away from pleco's they offer no real benefit to a tank, unless you actually like the look of them of course.

i COULD get a 400 gallon next month, i waited a year for it. Water, fish, electricity it would cost a lot of money, i love cichlids, specially big aggressive cichlids like dovii, umbee, jags, midas etc.(glass bangers)
but more fish = more filtration and water for waterchange, so i have only 2 or 3 choices, Keeping only a pair of dovii or umbee or a mix of them, but some of those cichlids does not accept tank mates and prefers solo.
My dream was Jag,midas, dovii, festae,Texas,(umbee but does not accept tank mates ) but lot of filtration required so, maybe ill stick to a pair of dovii or umbee.

Maybe but you won't know till you try. My dream tank is my current 300 which houses 12" Festae M, 8" Festae F, 14" Argentae, 6 large Silver Dollars and a 15" common pleco.

A 12" Jag and 10" Pearsei have been residents on and off. Mostly off lately as my Festae have been spawning

Just save yourself the heart ache and despair and get a couple of the ones listed and get more peaceful via and put with them like Oscars,Severums, Chocolates. IMO from everything I've heard the fish you want your going to have a lot of deaths. I tried Festae with Midas and black belts and jags n it didn't work for me it all. Who knows it could work in that large of a tank but even in that size there's going to be A lot of aggression and more than likely a few deaths

the butti is agressive but depends, if you raise him with everything else, and get him SMALLER then the others, you may have a chance

+1 but in my experience that's a one in ten butti that will get along once full grown.they are habitual killers
