40b or 55 for grow out?

which tank would make a better grow out for small natts, a 40b or the 55? I'm thinking 55 would do ok for 10 or so 1-2"ers.

You'd be fine with that for a while before needing to upgrade. Could do those in a 40b too but I'd sell off a few within the first 6 months

I would go with the 55.

1 inch growth per month. 10-6 inch fish in a 55 is going to be a disaster. That may work for a couple months before needing to upgrade

I'd just wait if it's going to take you any more than 3 months to have the "lifer" tank ready. As stated above, your going to get plenty of loss by 6".
