40Br stand and canopy ideas?

My girlfriend just bought me a 40br for my 3 1/2" vampire tetra (he won't be in this tank forever) and maybe some other predatory fish and I want to build a stand and a canopy for it. The tank came with a glass top that I will likely put on under the canopy to avoid water evaporation.

Normally, I try to find used stands, but I have a feeling I won't find a nice wooden used stand and I'd rather build one and save a couple dollars than buy one.

So I need some pictures and ideas of stands and canopy combos. If it helps, I am expecting the stand to be maybe 29" tall. It is also going to be black. For the canopy I plan on doing a large flap in the front for feeding and maintenance and a flap in the back for filter maintenance.

So post some pictures of cool stands and canopies so I can get some ideas! :idea:
 
Just do a search for DIY Stand. There are tons of stand builds that have been done ranging from simple 2x4 stands to elaborate finished stands.

I tried that, but I was wondering if anybody on here same some good pictures and ideas on hand. I am going to do a nice finished stand since this is going to be a new display tank.
