Fish trade is getting out of control. Someone will buy that and in a few years it will be worth $1000. Just like the BD ray and certain cichla
If you could afford a fish like that I don't think you would really care if it was $1k in a few years. BD are still holding up their price because the birth count are low.
Do you mean Black Diamond rays? I was under the impression that they are bred quite often by different breeders in several countries but I wasn't aware that they cost anywhere near forty grand.
I wouldnt spend 40k on a fish even if I had a million or ten. After all it's an animal that could easily die off a small mistake or what ever. You never know, **** happens every day around the world.
And D dat_tiger I'm not too sure about the US, but in Europe Black Diamond are all over the place and defo a lot cheaper than in the US. You can EASILY get a very nice high quality BD pair around here for about 800-1200 bucks. I believe thats pretty much what a nice female alone would cost in the US.

Your are right on the money with the price of BD in the US hopefully one day we will reach the price point in Europe.
Well it's not whole Europe. Most likely "just" Germany/Austria. They're a lot more expensive around the UK for example.
