i am just changing to a 40g long. i have my favorite fish 3 convicts ( 1-3/4", 2-1/2" and 1 of the smaller ones is an albino), 4 tiger barbs ( 2- 2", 2- 3/4"), 2 rosy barbs (2" each), 2 red phantoms (1"), 1 pleco (2"), and 2 african dwarf frogs. I plan on getting 2 Blue Acara's and my question is how u think all these fish will get along? If the tank size is ok for all these fish? and how i should set up with rocks and fake plants.

not very well imo, once the convicts pair up, no ones gonna be living in there 
so imo sell the cons or sell the other fish.

I don't know if you give them enough hiding spots a 40 gallon should be ok with a pair of cons and tankmates
