If you ever head to Chinatown, the LFS on the corner of Broome and Mott with the huge window tanks has a posted sign selling used tanks and I believe one was a 40G for $50 but not sure when they'd be available since it seemst hey are still in use.
is this a new thing? i never usually go in there considering all his prices are jacked up like crazy. but i really enjoy looking at the parrot tank he had out front before the fire lol
That sign was still there last week when I went. I think they're just downsizing and getting rid of some of those tanks.

I just bought a used tank from that store, they dropped it to $30 but it has a painted blue background, couldn't fit it on my car so I have to get it another day...
i was just there today. i bought one too. he gave me a receipt and im gonna pick it up sometime this week. where to do u live? maybe i can give u a hand.
Thanks for the offer, I wasn't goign to buy the tank for $50 but when it said $30 I couldn't resist. Then I tried to fit it in the trunk but couldn't.

i have the 55 under my 90 with metal stand.. its too tall, i cant fit my hand in between to clean my tank when its needed lol.
If it's a space issue, have you considered a 33 gallon? Same as a 40 long but a little shorter. Just an idea.
