I want to do a natural planted tank with a Custom 3D background and a mini pond in front of the plants in back. I was thinking to get a turtle or tortoise, but how would that work with plants and lizards. I want a ameiva ameiva. But, I think those are rare. So, MFK, can you give me any suggestions.

Ameivas get pretty big for the tank you're considering, as do most turtles.
If you want to do a community setup, the only ones I heard of working well are Anoles and Green Tree Frogs, just make sure they're from the same area, conditions, not predatory to each other etc, but reptiles do best in species setups.
