I think it should be a standard 40. 36x15

Joe called it, it's 16.5" wide, by 37" length footprint, and is 23" tall.

I think it's worth sanding it down to see if the wood underneathis worth staining.

If not, it's ready to use as is, but I don't like the paint used, some kind of acrylic paint? if using this with an acrylic tank, I would use something underneath.
