40g stocking

Got 4 bettas for the 40g along with 4 Celebes rainbow fish. Water is a bit cloudy but can’t figure out what’s going on but hopefully new filtration with old used filter media will help it. Thinking of a couple more bettas and maybe 3 Filiment barbs not sure

What do you mean pearl? Not into gouramis too much.
Also one of the bettas is a female crowntail with platinum body with nice yellow fins and was only 5$ It looks platinum but may just be white but it’s a lot whiter than normal so I assume it’s platinum

Should I not do barbs? Could I maybe do like a scarlet basis or something like that? Also while watching these rainbows I noticed their fins on the side behind the head. I forgot the name of them. Are pointed upwards and it’s really cool can’t tell if they’re pointed up or just really big.

Don’t know much on gobies.
Those are the pectoral fins, they are large.
I would look at schooling fish near the bettas size and 100% peaceful to be safe. Anything like that will do good.

I would do schooling fish. You could get more bettas. They’re great.
