40g with built in sump

I have a 40g with built in sump. It has a pump that does about 150gph. If i get a pup that is stronger will it be the same up move more water or will it not go thru the bio ball area and filter area?? Here are sum pix of wat it looks like

hmmmmm it could work

try getting a 400-600 gph pump

thats wat i was going to get but my dad wanted me to make sure it would work b4 i did. I think it was 675gph
