45 gallon compatibility issues

Hi folks,
I am having problems with the cichlids I have in my tank. I have a pair of parrots, pair of dempseys, pair of firemouths and a single green terror. All but the parrots are about 2.5 to 3 inches in size. The parrots are about 4 inches. Lately, one of the firemouths has been terrorizing every other fish. he will not allow any of them to stay in any of the 3 caves I have made. What would you suggest? I am ready to purchase a 55 gallon.
These fish were suppose to be compatible, according to the salesman at the fish shop.

55g? Think BIGGER, JD'ds and Green Terrors are not huge but can reach 10" easily. This aggression will get worse when these fish get bigger. You need to either get rid of some of your future bruisers or be looking at a much larger tank to keep them all.

u need a 125gal for all those pair of cichlids.

You need a way bigger tank, or get rid of all but 1 pair and keep 1 or 2 singles of the other if youre just getting a 55.

jds get up to 10+"
gts get up to 10"
firemouths get 6-7"
parrots get 10-12" i believe.

WAY too many big fish (and pairs) for a 55.

As has been said think much bigger for all those. A single green terror male can hit 12" so even a 55g is a bit tight for a particularly large male GT.
I would imagine you are looking at a minimum of 180g (6x2x2), even then with a single male GT (if it is a male of course) and a bunch of pairs you could still be looking at trouble.

i agree with everyone. the tank is to small for the stock u have which is why your getting aggression. even a 55 going to be 2 small for the stock list. I think each of the fish require a min of 55 for by them self with no oher tank mates. except for maybe the firmonth. u might be able to keep him singley in a 40. its a chance the the gt and dempsey will out grow the 55.
