45 gallon tall stocking ideas

i just bought a 45 gallon TALL aquarium, and i have no idea what to stock it with. i usually prefer carnivorous fish, or single species tanks. i know this tank is a little smaller, and being tall, i have limited choices. i am open to ANYTHING. help please!! i have experience with green spotted puffers in a brackish tank...

please help this tank is set up and waiting!

If you like cichlids a solo gramodes would be cool. Vey aggresive,. It should fit... dimentions?

all in know off hand is that the tank is 36" long and taller than a standard tank, but obviously not a cube. just googled the gramodes, looks cool!
