This idea comes up every so often, and no one seems to think much of it. I think it is a great idea, and have played around a bit with it. I have a small test tank (1 - 2 gal) with pond liner bonded to plywood. It works. I used super glue to bond the epdm to the plywood, but the process is somewhat dificult and I would like to try something else. I think Titebond greenchoice neoprene plus contact cement might do the trick, but haven't tried it. For sealing the corners, Firestone makes a lap sealant for the epdm liner. This is a sealant, not an adhesive, but if you bond the epdm to the ply so there is no stress on it, it should do the trick. Alternatively, investigate polyether adhesive/sealants. Look for one that says "bonds aggressively to epdm" I have called them, but as per usual, sealant people won't talk fish tanks. You will have to be a pioneer here. Most think this idea will not work. Wish I had the time to prove them wrong, but life is in the way at the moment. Go for it!!
