450 gallon filtration help

Just picked up a 450 gallon... I have never done a sump in my life and I was wondering if the plan I illustrated would suffice?

Sump will be 180 gallons. Tank is 450 gallons. I'll use a 35 gallon brute trash bin. And all I need to know is what size pump what type what brand etc.... I believe overflows and return pipes are 1.5 inches

It would work fine. I would put the return on the opposite side of the tank for better turnover.

I agree. The way its currently set up you may have an issue with flow on the far end of the tank. As far as pump size how many 1.5" drains does the tank have?
