Hello everyone. After quitting the hobby last summer due to bad economy this summer my 450 has been re set up. My previous set up for filtration was using 3 x Fluval Fx5s which I scrapped and sold last year. I decided to go with a wet dry sump system instead. I started with my sump project set up in Feb 2011. I took my time on this project and finally it is pretty much complete. The trickiest parts was levelling the tank as it's set up in the garage with a super uneven floor and plumbing the set up due to minimal room I had to work with. The filter method I'm using is 2 overflow boxes draining through 4 x 1.5" pvc into a flat down 96 gallon sump with 3 chambers, then the return pump I'm using is a Reeflo Dart/Snapper Hybrid pump discharging into a 1.5" pvc tapered at end into a 1" pvc exit. Right now all that's left to be finished is a drip plate which is being made and going to pick up in a few hours, need to buy more media and some foam blocks. Anyhow it may not be pretty but it works:D here are some pics of my new set up. Enjoy.

Cluttered garage...

I found this 96 gallon tank for 25 bux. It was pretty in bad shape but I resealed it properly but went a bit nuts on the silicone hehe.

I like. Only suggestion would be to paint the background, haha. Not a big deal but for some reason I can't have my tanks without a background. Good work. Whats the stock?

Thanks. I'm putting a blue background on the back using black gravel as the substrate. The stock is in my sig.

Looks like you do take it seriously.

Nice stock list. Cant wait to see this badboy up and running. Where abouts in BC are you located?

Glad to see you getting back up and running. I'm working on mine now. It's been awhile.

I love the 2 big pieces of wood you got in there, Can't wait till its stocked!

Nice to see it set back up. Did you move? You used to have it inside, correct?

Thanks everyone and yes I did move. The previous set up was in a condo suite on the main floor. Now the tank is currently set up in the garage. I'm having slight issues with my return pump overpowering my overflows...But soon it'll be up and running.
