I am going to be ordering a 450 gallon tank, 96"x36"x30". How many rays should i be able to keep in it? I currently have 3 rays, a motoro male, and a male and female aparcio i got from rapps. I also want to put my 4 cichla and my gold oscar in there. Think i could put another ray in? Or is this ok as is or overstocked?

depending on what type of rays but i would say 3-4 max as adults

its hard to say but you will know when its full just by looking at it

no matter how big a tank is i could fully stock it within a year

depending on your rays growth, I have a year and a half old motoro, maybe 7-8" disc, but my mantillas at 6-8 months are already pushig 8-9" and are not slowing down. So if you can stock it with not but "minis" versus monsters at 20" disc or great you will be good with 4 or 5 if you have a good ratio of male to female, if your rays are growing quickly I would hold off for a bit

I am getting almost the exact tank built next month by rt 4 aquarium. Mine is going to be 90x36x30 but glass. They do acrylic too you should check them out. They have built sone of the tanks in the store including a 900 galon monster.

Fyi there will be an mfk meet there feb 9 th with a store tour to follow if your interested.
