We are in the design stage of a tank going in our office. 84x32x36, two side overflows w/returns. My question is does anyone have any ideas or better yet pictures of your filtration for this set up. This will be seen from both sides, one side is in our conference room which will set flush in the wall. The other side will be sitting in the owners office, this side will come out 28" into the room. This is going to be freshwater but I would like to over filtrate. Thank you in advance.

easy... a sump.

Sorry, I should of been more specific. I figured on a sump, I just wondered if anyone had any good/bad experiences with a design. Or if anyone had any pictures of one that worked well for them.

Sump for sure. And if I am understanding it correctly you are saying that both long sides will be the main viewing panels and the two short ends will have the overflows? If so I might be inclined to have one large overflow on one of the short ends, then have your returns going into the opposite end. This would create a good current along the entire length in the tank and should reduce any dead spots and directs the water (and detridus) towards the overflow.

That's not a bad idea. I was thinking on the two ends and then having the returns flowing the opposite directions so create a circle.

Since it is very long, how about two return pumps to keep the flow strong.

I was thinking that to. I kind of pictured the water dumping in the middle of the sump. Then getting pulled through the media to each side which has a pump coming out of each end.
