i saw a recent thread about this site
and for my 55 gallon tank i would like to grow some stuff
if i put this bulb in my 55 gallon 48 inch fixture will it grow somthing?
or will i need a whole new fixture?

HO T5 is a completely different light than any others. Need T5 endcaps, and HO T5 ballast.

its a standard single strip

Get a 6700K bulb. You can grow any basic low light plant.
