ok so I am getting a new starter tempoary monster tank. It will mostly have some small rays for a little time to grow and just some of the usuals, gar, aro, etc.. i can only probably push about a 200g tank, due to weight not space, in my room. i can grab a typical 180 just about anywhere or I have a nice 190g with the above dimensions offered to me new, overflows, stand, etc for $500 bux. Which would u guys grab? personally i am liking the sound of the wider, taller, tank for some reason. i just know my pbass wont like the 48"

i like the longer tank, just becuase i think 31" is too high in my opinion for the other tank.. however i do like the width of the tank with the 31" height, but i think that 31" will be a pain to clean compared to the 24" height

What does the 180 go for around you? I would really want that one just for the floor space (its only 2 sq ft more but your rays and bass would appresiate it). But $500 for a 190 is a deal. I would probably pick that one up just for the hell of it.

tough one. if its just being used as some sort of growout, id be tempted by the longer tank, but a deal is a deal. how much you like your bass?

???Like I was saying the 180 is 2"sq bigger than the 190 in the floor space department.

190 gallon 48 x 30 = 1440"sq = 10sq ft (floor space)

180 gallon 72 x 24 = 1728"sq = 12sq ft (floor space)

but the 10sq one will alow larger fish to turn arround easier if it were me i would go with the 190 but what is going to fit through your door easier that should be the main deciding fact

its coming through a sliding glass door so both will fit. i think i am going to go 180
