I haven't been able to get around to finish building it up, but I have a project I was building that would be a 480g Glass Tank 8' x 4' x 24" tall. The base is 1" plywood, that is fiberglass and black pond armor coated, with a 2"x2" steel frame around the base. The base is already built, there are 3, 8' x 2' pieces of 1/2" glass, 1 would need to be cut at its base to complete the sides. I'll throw in my 90 degree clamps and plenty of silicone to build it up. I'll show my current 480g that I built to explain how to put this one together. You will need additional glass for euro bracing as I only have 2 cross braces that I wouldn't think could be considered safe if they were just used for support.
I wanted to keep it for a garage build for cichlids or other schooling fish, but just dont have the time to build or maintain another large tank.
Its located on the Central Coast of California near Pismo Beach. (The pic has a wood stand which is not included with the black tank base.)
I'm open to offers, but no low balls as the base along was a lot of $$$, blood, sweat and now tears!.
It would be easy to move with a large truck or suburban and 2 extra people.
