hiya im planning to build 48x18x24 tank with 8mm glass will it be okay? ive tried this page also http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-139898.html but i cant find that size any one here who has build such size tank with 8mm glass i am to start building in a week hope i will get some good help.

I wouldn't go any less than 10mm for 24" height. Even then I would want it euro braced and cross braced.
In all seriousness..building a 90 may not be worth it. Its a win or lose situation. You might either save or waste more money than buying one. So first check how much will you be able to attain a 90 gal in your area and build a stand for it or if you want to make it just because go right ahead.
