i've not seen one quite that big but i've seen them not far behind i've had individuals come int the shop i used to work in between 16-18" prob in the region of 3-3.5lb lol, i got so fed up of rehoming plec i stopped selling them apart from to order,one summer we had 2 5x3' pond vats containing nothing but huge plecs, must have been 30+ all in excess of 12" so glad i dont work in a shop any more got fed up of getting moaned at for not selling fish to people with unsuitable tanks if i had a pound for everytime i've been asked if clownfish are compatible with goldfish, told the customer no and explained why and them just go ...well can i buy one and try it anyway
