i have 2 X Fluval 405's running on my 4X2X2 Jag * tank at the mo but i do have a FX5 from my old big set-up i no longer have, what would you do just leave it how it is with a filter at each end or just run the FX5 on it's own?
i was thinking 1 filter is a lot faster to clean out than 2 :nilly:

* in the tank at the mo i have a lot of fish but after the week-end it will only be the Jag's and maby 2X royal's but they make a lot LOT of mess so im not sure on keeping them

I would be. But the major advantage of leaving the two would be if you had a failure in one of them, then you would only be losing 50% of your bacterial bed at one time.

or sell me the fx5 ;)...i agree by having 2 filters (one at at each side i presume?) then you will not have one side that is not been filtered as well, so all the crap does not get pushed tot he other side. 2 is better then one is what im getting at lol.

why not use the fx5 and 1 405

i think thats what i'll do, 1 fluval 405 is full of carbon in the baskets < thats the 1 i'll get shot of i think

How many gallons is it? my tank is 48"x31"x18" 110 gallon. 1 FX5 works great.
