4x2x2 - building a new frame for top

The plastic frame around the top of my aquarium is not in the best shape. It has scratches, dents and a couple cracks that cause complete separation in a couple places. I would like to replace it for viewing and structural purposes before I put water in it. Can this part be bought or made? Should I worry about the cracks?

They can be bought, and are not too hard to replace.

Pretty easy to build yourself, several people say you don't need them and go rimless now. Pretty common to buy or order from your LFS also.
